2021 Chrysler Voyager
The 2021 Chrysler Voyager is a budget minivan that offers room for up to seven passengers, and has ample cargo room. As refined as the Chrysler Pacifica while on the road, the 2021 Chrysler Voyager directly outdoes its competitors. For 2021, Chrysler improved the minivan’s optional suite of driver-assistance features, part of its SafetyTec Package.
Avail. Engine Type
The budget-friendly 2021 Chrysler Voyager has two trims — L and LX, both powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that generates 287 horsepower. Both trims come standard with front-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2021 Voyager’s EPA estimated fuel efficiency ranks at 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Although very much an entry-level, budget-friendly minivan, the 2021 Chrysler Voyager has an impressive 3,600 lbs towing capacity.
What’s new for 2021?
Chrysler didn’t change much on the Voyager for the 2021 model year, but the minivan’s driver-assistance hardware was upgraded to include updated camera and radar sensors. Now the 2021 Voyager can detect pedestrians and has the ability to mitigate a collision. Driver-assistance features are part of Chrysler’s optional SafetyTec package. The LX trim includes automatic headlamps, three-zone manual climate control, superior exterior lighting, and aluminum wheels (instead of steel).
Stylish and functional, the 2021 Chrysler Voyager comes with 17-inch wheels, and offers a new Jazz Blue Pearl paint coat for the 2021 model year. Also available are on/off Automatic Quad Halogen Reflector Headlamps that ensure drivers can clearly see the road ahead. Other exterior features include a mesh grille and elegant curves that are clearly borrowed from the Chrysler Pacifica model.
When it comes to its cabin, the 2021 Voyager mimics its older sister, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. Only cloth upholstery is available, while Stow ‘n Go capability is available for the rear bench. Underfloor storage cubbies are available with the second-row Captain’s Chairs only on the LX trim. Behind the third row, the 2021 Voyager has 32 cubic feet of cargo space. The dashboard features light-touch accents and a glowing gauge display.
The 2021 Chrysler Voyager features a standard 7-inch infotainment touchscreen display with the easy-to-use Uconnect infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities are standard, as is Bluetooth streaming and an integrated voice control standard. A six-speaker audio system is standard and includes active noise cancellation. For an extra touch, buyers can opt for the rear-seat overhead DVD player that’s available on the LX trim.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2021 Chrysler Voyager earned a five star rating from the National Highway Traffic Administration. For greater peace of mind, buyers will be glad to learn that the 2021 Voyager includes advanced multistage driver and front passenger airbags, driver and front passenger-side inflatable knee airbags, side-curtain airbags, and front seat-mounted side airbags. Other key safety features include available Rear Parking Sensors with Rear Automated Emergency Braking and Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
All Chrysler vehicles come with a standard 3 year/36,000 miles basic warranty and a 5 year/60,000 miles powertrain warranty, whichever comes first.
