Jeep continues its tradition of groundbreaking achievements, gearing up to introduce its inaugural global battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and broadening its range of iconic SUVs. Introducing the all-new, all-electric premium Jeep Wagoneer S, slated for release in the U.S. in the fall of 2024, followed by availability in key markets worldwide.

Exclusively offered as a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the Jeep Wagoneer S delivers standard 4xe capability, featuring all-terrain management, cutting-edge Jeep brand-focused technology, and remarkable performance attributes, boasting an impressive 600 horsepower and achieving a lightning-fast 0-60 mph time of around 3.5 seconds. Emphasizing aerodynamic efficiency, its sleek exterior design is distinguished by a reimagined LED-lit, class-exclusive seven-slot Jeep brand grille.

Positioned within the broader framework of the Jeep brand’s ongoing global electrification initiative, the new Jeep Wagoneer S plays a pivotal role in transforming 4xe into the new standard for 4×4, aligning with the brand’s vision of achieving Zero Emission Freedom. This strategic plan is in complete harmony with Stellantis’ overarching objective to become a carbon net-zero corporation by 2038, as outlined in the company’s comprehensive Dare Forward 2030 long-term strategic plan.

2024 Jeep Wagoneer

Offered in standard and extended-length L models, the Wagoneer stands as a full-size SUV in direct competition with rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, and Nissan Armada. Its standard twin-turbo inline-six engine provides power, and while its handling is commendable, the absence of four-wheel steering poses challenges in maneuverability, particularly for the extended Wagoneer L variant. Notably, premium SUVs like the Range Rover and BMW X7 fall short in cargo capacity, passenger space, and towing capabilities when compared to the Jeep.

What’s New?

The 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 has been discontinued for the Wagoneer, and the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, previously an optional upgrade for the base model, is now the standard engine across all trims. The high-end Series III now includes four-wheel drive as a standard feature, along with an air-spring suspension system, a head-up display, and a power-folding third-row. Air springs are newly available as an option for extended L models, specifically on Series II and Series II Carbide trims. Additionally, on the base trims, the standalone option for the front passenger display has been removed, though it remains optional on the Series II.
