3.6L V6 Engine
The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica lineup consists of nine trims, three of which are plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) trims. Each of the six non-PHEV Pacifica trims (Pacifica L, Pacifica LX, Pacifica Touring Plus, Pacifica Touring L, Pacifica Touring L Plus and Pacifica Limited) are powered by a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a 9-speed Front automatic transmission. With the exception of the Pacifica L trim, the Pacifica engine features Engine Start-Stop (ESS) technology, which helps conserve fuel by turning off the engine when the engine is idle.
The Pacifica has an average fuel economy of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Furthermore, the transmission produces an exceptional amount torque – 262 lb-ft to be exact and as a result, the Pacifica has a maximum towing capacity of 3,600 pounds.
3.6L V6 Engine and 16 kWh Battery
The three PHEV Pacifica Hybrid trims (Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus, Pacifica Hybrid Touring L, and the Pacifica Hybrid Limited) are equipped with a modified 3.6-liter V6 engine that is paired to dual electric motors and a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery. Drivers can choose to drive the minivan in electric mode, which is pure battery power, or hybrid mode, which is a combination of battery and gasoline engine power, or only use the gas engine.
The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is the most efficient minivan on the market. The Pacifica Hybrid can travel up to 33 miles when powered by the battery and dual motors, and when the Pacifica Hybrid is in hybrid mode it has a combined city/highway fuel economy of 84 MPGe. With a full tank of gas and a fully charged battery, the Pacifica Hybrid can travel up to 566 miles before stopping to fill up.
The Chrysler Pacifica is sleek and stylish. The Pacifica features running boards and splash guards produced by Mopar, and they add some extra style and functionality. Also, the Pacifica Limited comes equipped with an award-winning Tri-Pane Panoramic sunroof that gives passengers and the driver a view of the sky above and the option to open the window to let in fresh air as well. Buyers who opt for an upgraded trim, there is an option of adding on a black or chrome stow ‘n place roof rack for utilizing the Chrysler Pacifica’s cargo capacity.
The Chrysler Pacifica has seating for seven or eight passengers, depending on which seating configuration is purchases. The upholstery and design starts with cloth, but leather is standard on several other trims. The Chrysler Pacifica comes standard with keyless enter n’ go technology, and several auxiliary outlets that make it possible for multiple passengers to charge their mobile devices at the same time.
All Pacifica trims come standard with Chrysler’s award-winning Stow ‘n Go storage seating system. The Stow ‘n Go system makes it possible for users to fold up the vehicle’s seats and store them in built-in floor storage compartments, which is great when space is needed for cargo rather than passengers. When the seats are folded down, there is 140.5 cubic feet of flat cargo space, however, when the seats are in use and not stored, the built-in storage compartments can be used to store small items.

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica comes standard with six-speaker system, however, select trims are available with a 13-Alpine speaker system or a 20-Harmon speaker system. The 2018 Pacifica models come standard with a touch screen and depending on the trim the touchscreen may be 7 inches or 8.4 inches. 2018 Pacifica models come standard with the newest version of Uconnect, Uconnect 4.0 and the new system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and integrated voice command with Bluetooth technology. The base trim has an MSRP of $26,995 (plus destination fee) and prices increase based on trim and additional options. Warranties include a three-year or 36,000-mile limited basic warranty and a five-year or 60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty on gas engines, and the battery in the Pacifica Hybrid is backed by an 8-year or 100,000-150,000-mile warranty (depends on state).
