2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Further expanding on the success of Chrysler’s minivan, the Pacifica Hybrid offers unprecedented fuel economy thanks to its hybrid powertrain and a combined 566-mile range. Prospective buyers can look forward to advanced safety features, a spacious cabin interior loaded with comfort features, and savings in fuel costs.
Avail. Engine Type
True to its name, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 under the hood and a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery responsible for powering an electric motor. Either power source is enough to drive the minivan, but as a hybrid, both the gas engine and the electric motor can work in tandem for the utmost fuel efficiency. Regenerative braking helps recharge the onboard battery while the minivan is in use by redirecting the energy expended when braking to a generator, offering an 84 MPGe (miles-per-gallon equivalent) for a hybrid vehicle. The all-electric range of the 2019 is an impressive 33 miles – all without releasing a single emission, while the total combined driving range of the Pacifica Hybrid is a whopping 566-mile range.
Chrysler provides three different methods for charging/recharging the lithium-ion battery to full capacity. There’s a 120-volt outlet, the standard one in which any consumer can plug an appliance into, but buyers who opt for the available 240-volt Level II charger installation at home can enjoy a full charge in as little as two hours. An 80 percent charge is usually reached in a half hour. Additionally, consumers can also enjoy public charging stations found in plazas reserved for plug-in hybrid vehicles while on the go. There are even apps (i.e. PlugShare) available to help drivers find nearby charging stations in no time.
The Pacifica Hybrid’s curb-appeal hasn’t diminished since its debut and standard features still include automatic on/off headlamps, premium fog lamps, LED taillamps, daytime running headlamps, heated exterior mirrors, a laminated front door glass to minimize interior noise levels and outside interference, and power sliding doors on the driver and passenger side with fixed glass. Optional upgrades include a power liftgate, rear and front splash guards, and a chrome Stow ‘n Place roof rack. 17-inch polished aluminum wheels (optional on the Touring L) are standard on the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid, but prospective buyers can opt to upgrade to 18-inch polished aluminum or black-noise painted wheels instead.
The Pacifica hybrid is designed to be efficient and convenient as it offers a triple-zone automatic climate control, an acoustic windshield designed to block out all outside noises, keyless entry enter-n-go, remote keyless entry for all doors, a power eight-way driver’s seat, easy entry second-row slide seating, and sunscreen glass – all lineup standard features. Cloth upholstery is standard on the Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus, while leather-trimmed seats (perforated or premium) are standard on the Pacifica Hybrid Touring L and Limited trims. Additionally, the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid also offers available ventilated and heated front seats, an auto-dimming mirror, KeySense technology, and a remote start system.
Standard on the Hybrid Touring Plus and Touring L trims is a six-speaker audio system, but the Touring L also offers an optional 13-Alpine speaker audio system. The Hybrid Limited comes standard with a 20-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio sound system and three-channel wireless headphones. An 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen is the lineup standard, including Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities, HD radio, Bluetooth with voice command, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. There’s also an available 4G LTE WiFi hotspot on the Touring L and Touring Plus – a feature that’s standard on the Limited. Higher-tier trims also have the option of adding the latest Uconnect 4C infotainment system with navigation, a Uconnect theater that includes wireless streaming, seatback video screens, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, SiriusXM Traffic, and Travel Link.
