2019 Chrysler Pacifica – See What’s New
When the Chrysler Pacifica first appeared, it re-engineered with a brand new platform from the ground up to spark a tradition of innovation, bold style, and functionality. In 2019, the Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid make a splash in their second and third model year (respectively). This is especially true for the plug-in hybrid minivan, having been introduced only in 2018, and maintaining Chrysler’s streak for always being ahead of the curve. The Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid are minivans that deliver for today’s busy families with countless safety features, comfort and a full array of convenient technologies.
The classic Pentastar V6 engine receives an update for the 2019 model, now paired with a segment-exclusive TorqueFlite 9-speed automatic transmission generating 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. Not bad for a minivan, huh? The hybrid version doesn’t lag behind either, as the industry’s first electrified minivan, the Pacifica Hybrid offers an impressive eFlite single-electrically variable transmission that features two electric motors capable of spinning the vehicle’s wheels. The Pacifica remains at the top of its class with a fuel efficiency of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway; meanwhile, the Pacifica Hybrid with its hybrid powertrain offers up to 33 miles of all-electric range, and 566 miles of total gas and electric range.
Things to Look Forward to in 2019
Looking to sprinkle a bit of style to an already efficient minivan? An S Appearance package will now be available, creating an athletic and customized look featuring sporty black accents both inside and out. This is the first time that the S Appearance package – a package that includes 18-inch wheels with a Black Noise finish, gloss black accents throughout the exterior, and an all-black interior with the “S” logo – will be made available on all Hybrid models. Chrysler brings the best of both worlds to their Hybrid models, making them eco-friendly and sporty so you can be sure you’re not missing out in terms of efficiency and looks.
The auto-dim rearview mirror is one among the features now offered as standard on the Pacifica Touring Plus, Pacifica Touring L, Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus and on the Pacifica Hybrid Touring L. Additionally, a heated steering wheel will become a standard feature on the following models: Pacifica Touring L and Pacifica Hybrid Touring L.
Consistency in Tech is Key
Continuing its tradition of providing the latest technology, Chrysler offers all trims of the Pacifica with a Uconnect 4 system complete with a standard 7-inch touchscreen and the option to upgrade to a slightly larger 8.4-inch touchscreen. The Uconnect system now has a faster startup time thanks to its enhanced processing power, enhancing consumers’ experience with vivid imagery and high resolution. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain as standard features in all 2019 Pacifica models, enabling users to access maps, music and more all via the Uconnect touchscreen while keeping their eyes on the road.
The options for audiophiles remain unchanged in this 2019 model of the Pacifica – the standard 6-speakers and active noise cancellation – these features are here to stay. Chrysler offers two additional premium audio systems for the Pacifica – a 13-speaker Alpine system, and a 20-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.
