Standard on the 2019 Renegade is a 180 horsepower, 2.4-liter inline-four engine. It offers 175 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
We mentioned there’s also a new powertrain option earlier. It’s a 177 horsepower, turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 200 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes standard on the Limited, Trailhawk and High Altitude trims and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission as well.
Fuel Economy Ratings
Fuel economy ratings are varied for the 2019 Jeep Renegade across various trim levels. The all-wheel-drive Renegade vehicles powered by the 2.4-liter inline-four engine, along with the Trailhawk trim powered by the all-new 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine all boast a combined fuel economy of 24 mpg. The Renegade Limited trim is the one with the best fuel economy rating at 27 mpg thanks to the new turbocharged 1.3-liter engine and front-wheel-drive.
As of yet, there are no crash-test ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for the 2019 Jeep Renegade.
