2021 Chrysler Voyager Earns KBB 5-Year Cost to Own Award
In its second year as an entry-level minivan, the Chrysler Voyager continues to be an affordable vehicle for families. Kelley Blue Book (KBB) just named the Voyager to its Best Minivan for the 5-Year Cost to Own Awards for the second consecutive year. The 2021 Chrysler Voyager has a starting MSRP of $27,235 (plus destination fee). In comparison, the brand’s star model, the Chrysler Pacifica starts at $35,045 (plus destination fee. While the Voyager doesn’t offer a full array of features, it is available with an optional safety package that includes Automatic Emergency Braking.
The seven-passenger minivan shares its modern body design with the Chrysler Pacifica. Additionally, both minivans are also powered by the same 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Stow ‘n Go third-row seats, and the latest Uconnect infotainment among others are all standard on the 2021 Chrysler Voyager. One of the Voyager’s biggest selling points is its safety features, as the minivan earned a full five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Not only does the Voyager have all the standard safety features that buyers have come to expect over the years, it also has over seven airbags, Brake Assist, and daytime running lights. Available features for the 2021 model year include Full-Speed Forward Collision Alert and Pedestrian Detection with Automatic Emergency Braking. The automaker also added a black lower grille and an Ocean Blue Metallic exterior paint option. Chrysler offers three trims on the 2021 Voyager, including the entry-level L, followed by the LX trim, and the LXi trim that’s reserved for fleet customers.
Another plus of owning the 2021 Chrysler Voyager? The minivan offers rear- and side-entry conversions that make it accessible for wheelchairs and scooters, all while opening up more space in the cabin. Owners can feel confident that wheelchairs and scooters will remain in place without cramping up the cabin, while also utilizing the enhanced ramp securing system that makes it easier to get mobility vehicles in and out. Buyers can also enjoy a power driver’s seat, a 3.5-inch driver info display, an optional overhead DVD player, and there’s also an available tri-zone manual climate control system as well.
