All Jeep Compass vehicles with a 4×4 drivetrain are outfitted with the brand’s Selec-Terrain system. Selec-Terrain offers five different customizable settings – Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud, Rock, with each specific setting automatically optimizing the vehicle’s system for the chosen terrain. There’s a rotary knob that makes switching between settings easy, helping drivers combine throttle control, transmission shifting, traction control, and Electronic Stability Control for optimal driving stability. The Selec-Terrain system can be engaged either while the compact SUV is parked or on the go, making the shift to new driving conditions seamless. Auto Mode on the Selec-Terrain system is an overall 4×4 performance mode that is made for any kind of road or weather condition.
