2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are the First Models to Integrate Fire TV for Auto
The all-new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer debuted on March 11 (2021) as the first vehicles to integrate Amazon Fire TV for Auto, the latest innovative lap in an evolving automotive landscape. Passengers will now have access to their favorite shows, movies, Alexa, apps, and other unique features. Fire TV for Auto has been seamlessly integrated into the brand’s latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system, even going so far as to expand Alexa Auto in-vehicle connectivity to keep passengers entertained and help drivers stay focused while on the road. Like other Fire TV devices, content syncs with existing Amazon accounts, making it a breeze to navigate and resume viewing a show. The future is now as customers can pause a show inside their homes and pick up where they left off once they get into their vehicle.
“The all-new 2022 model-year Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are designed and engineered to set a new standard for American premium in the large SUV segment. Launching Fire TV for Auto as an industry-first technology to the Wagoneer lineup illustrates one of the many ways we intend to deliver class-leading technology and connectivity to our customers,” said Christian Meunier, Jeep Brand Chief Executive Officer — Stellantis.
Unique Fire TV for Auto features include:
- A very important privacy filter that disables driver viewing.
- High Definition not only on the rear seats but on the front passenger screen as well.
- The driver can view Fire TV on the main Uconnect 5 infotainment display screen while the vehicle is in park.
- There’s even a Fire TV for Auto-specific remote so that viewers can control the experience, including the push-to-talk access to Alexa feature. This makes it easy to find and quickly play shows before getting on the road.
- The remote is so advanced it includes a button that immediately connects Fire TV with the Uconnect 5 system and grants access to vehicle features such as maps, climate, and more.
“We reimagined Fire TV for the automobile with a purpose-built experience that delivers the best in entertainment, anywhere you go. With Fire TV built in, customers can stream their favorite shows, see if they left the lights on at home with Alexa, and take advantage of unique controls through the Uconnect system,” said Sandeep Gupta, Vice President and General Manager of Amazon Fire TV.
The Uconnect experience, already lauded for its efficiency and user-friendliness, continues to expand its functionality. Jeep will package additional connected services with Fire TV for Auto — it’ll be made available in the fall of 2021 in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. In-car technology is constantly becoming of more importance for buyers. Uconnect 5 was upgraded to be helpful, seamless, content-rich, integrated, and with plenty of features for greater personalization, making it the most advanced Uconnect system to date. The infotainment system is scalable across all Stellantis brands and comes ready to integrate even more advanced technology further down the line.
Making a splash as a premium extension of the Jeep brand, the all-new Wagoneer returns to its legacy roots as the original premium SUV. Built with a rich heritage of premium American craftsmanship, the Wagoneer brings forth legendary 4×4 capability, new levels of comfort, and the exclusive Wagoneer Services, all while forging a new path forward with sophistication, authenticity, and modern mobility as the standard. Premium design cues, a stellar customer service experience, and innovative and authentic features make the 2022 Wagoneer and 2022 Grand Wagoneer vehicles with strong SUV credentials that are ready to define the next generation of an American icon.
