The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is due for a mid-cycle refresh. Details are scarce until Jeep officially unveils the model, but enthusiasts have been enthralled by rumors as of late. Citing a dealer video shown by Stellantis, the enthusiasts claim the upcoming 2024 Wrangler features “Greater Capability” and “New Technology.” It’s safe to say the Wrangler’s design will remain intact–enthusiasts don’t usually respond well to aesthetic changes on the iconic vehicle.

Among the rumors, some of the standout information includes talk of a new grille, mainly inspired by the Wrangler 20th Anniversary grille, as well as new wheel options. The Rubicon 392 trim is also rumored to return for the model year, complete with nine possible color options. Given that the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is still in its pre-order phase, the model could potentially undergo more changes prior to launch.

Another returning feature on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler includes the powertrains present in the current lineup. The main changes are on the Wrangler 392 trim as it forgoes its current 32-inch tires to borrow some of its standard features from the Xtreme Recon package, upping its tires to 35 inches and its gears from 3.73 to 4.56. Additionally, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is also rumored to offer buyers a Heavy Duty Axle option that seriously ups the Wrangler’s tow rating. So far, no one’s figured out which engine the Heavy Duty Axle is supposed to be paired with. Jeep will also offer the Recovery Package on the 2024 Wrangler, installing a winch straight from the factory as well as other rescue features.

The top-tier Rubicon trim is rumored to add even more luxury options, such as leather upholstery, body-colored fenders, and advanced safety tech such as Forward Collision Warning. All of these features can only be purchased separately at this current time. The Willys trim is also due for an upgrade which improves its capability, enthusiasts expect it to offer higher ground clearance, a tire package, and a gripper off-road wheel come 2024. Currently, the Jeep Wrangler Willys offers the Xtreme Recon Package for buyers who want their Willys to pack a bigger punch, but it’s unclear how the 2024 upgrades will affect the package’s availability. Further details from Jeep will surely clear this up.

As for the Wrangler 4xe, the High Altitude trim will make its Sky One-Touch Power Top a standard feature, eliminating the current $2,200 cost of the feature. Mopar Insiders also reported Jeep will introduce an entry-level 4xe Sport trim, slotting beneath the 4xe Willys trim that’s here to stay. What really stands out about the 4xe powertrain lineup is the potential for a generator, which would in turn allow owners to power 110-volt accessories thanks to outlets.

The interior of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is also rumored to see some changes, giving up its analog gauges in exchange for a more modern digital cluster, as well as offer the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system on an enlarged 10.1-inch touchscreen. Enthusiasts also expect boosted tech to feature wireless Android Auto And Apple CarPlay connectivity, and even more features on the Off-Road Pages and Maps. A rumored Seat Comfort and Convenience Enhancement Group, and a Premium Cabin Package are also rumored to be coming to the 2024 Jeep Wrangler, although there are no further details about what each package entails.
