It’s no secret that South Florida is known for having not the best drivers. So, for those trying to avoid an accident, vehicles with advanced safety features are a must!

Manufacturers have made it a priority to make new cars available with advanced safety systems that assist and help drivers avoid accidents and Jeep and Chrysler are no exception. Jeep and Chrysler models are available with a variety of the latest advanced safety features that help ensure the safety of drivers and passengers alike.

Blind-Spot Warning (BSW)

Blind-Spot Warning systems use a variety of sensors and cameras that warn drivers when a vehicle is in a driver’s blind spot or if the driver turns on their turn signal.- the notification can be visual and/or audible. Sure, mirrors can help blind spots behind a driver, but a visual or audible notification that there is a vehicle you can’t see is very helpful.

Blind-Spot Warning Systems are optional and standard in the following Jeep and Chrysler models:

  • Optional
    • Jeep Compass Latitude
    • Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and Overland trims
    • Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus
    • Chrysler 300S and 300S Alloy Edition trims
    • Chrysler Pacifica LX Touring and Touring Plus trims

– Standard

    • Jeep Compass Limited
    • Jeep Grand Cherokee Sterling Edition, High Altitude
    • Jeep Cherokee Limited, Overland
    • Chrysler Pacifica Touring L, Touring L Plus, Hybrid Premium, Limited, Hybrid Platinum

Forward-Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward-Collision Warning warns drivers if a potential crash is about to happen because the vehicle is too close to the preceding vehicle or if the preceding vehicle has come to a stop. Sensors located in the front of the vehicle have the ability to detect the proximity between the driver and the car in front and when a potential crash is sensed, the vehicle provides the driver with a visual and/or audible notification, and warnings can also come from vibrations or quick brake pulse.

Forward Collision Warning is optional/standard in the following Jeep and Chrysler Models:

  • Optional:
    • Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Sterling Edition
    • Jeep Cherokee Limited
    • Chrysler 300s, 300s Alloy Edition
    • Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus, Limited
  • Standard:

Lane-Departure Warning (LDW)

Thanks to camera-based sensors, Lane-Departure Warning notifies drivers if the vehicle appears to be drifting off course when turn signals have not been used. LDW not only helps the driver correct the vehicle back into its intended path, but it also notifies the driver through visual and audible warnings.

LDW is optional/standard in the following Jeep and Chrysler Models:

  • Optional:
    • Jeep Compass Latitude, Limited
    • Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Sterling Edition, Overland
    • Jeep Cherokee Limited
