Badge of Honor is Jeep’s Newest App

When it comes to customer pride, loyalty and enthusiasm, Jeep owners stand out from the crowd. In recognition of this loyalty, Jeep created the Badge of Honor program to give back to the community and its off-road aficionados. To enhance the program and make its features easier to use on-the-go, Jeep has introduced the Badge of Honor smartphone app.

The Badge of Honor mobile app, available for both Android and IOS, connects Jeep owners and trailblazers in ways never before possible. At its heart, the app is designed to provide off-road enthusiasts with a way to showcase their trail experience and earn points and badges based on the routes they’ve conquered. The app provides detailed maps and information about dozens of trails across the U.S. Currently, there are 44 documented trails on the app, with a difficulty rating from 1 (beginner) to 10 (expert). Additional trails are planned for the future.

Drivers start the app at the beginning of the trail and track their progress along the way. As they travel the route, they’ll get access to detailed trail information and photos from other users.

When the drive is complete, users earn points based on the trail length and difficulty, and the results are posted to the Badge of Honor website for others to view. Drivers can add additional trail comments, upload photos and interact with other offroaders. As points accumulate, users are awarded honor badges to showcase their accomplishments. These are in the form of virtual badges on the website as well as stickers to display on vehicles. Users begin as a “Newbie” and with enough logged trails can achieve the rank of “Trail Expert.”

The app also includes important offroad driving information and pointers. These range from basic off-road driving lessons to more specific information about how to deal with the most challenging situations encountered on the trail. Especially handy is the pre-ride checklist. This allows drivers to ensure they have the kit they need for the trip as well as ensuring all safety precautions are followed for a safe ride.

The Badge of Honor program and app is available for anyone to use. However, only Jeep owners who register their vehicles using the Jeep’s VIN and provide a mailing address are eligible to receive the vehicle badge stickers for completing trails. Visit the Badge of Honor website to register, download the app and get started earning points.
