Brands Chrysler Uses in Their Cars
Many consumers know that the automakers and other brands work together to create a better product, and Chrysler embraces those partnerships. Chrysler works with a variety of premium brands to make their interior, entertainment, and exterior features some of the best on the market.
Interior and Technology
Chrysler has partnered with a few brands to make the interiors of their vehicles unique. A signature type of leather found in many Chrysler vehicles is Nappa leather, but McKinley leather is another option. The Pacifica is available with Ravine cloth seating, and the Pacifica’s built-in vacuum cleaner is made by RIGID, a trusted brand of professional tools, including vacuum cleaners.
When it comes to entertainment and other technology, variety starts to differ even more. Take the audio system for example – each Chrysler vehicle has a different brand-name system. The Pacifica is available with Harman Kardon Premium speakers, the 200 has Alpine premium speakers, and the 300 has BeatsAudio premium speakers. They also all have Bluetooth hands-free voice command systems, often linked with UconnectPhone, and SiriusXM. All three Chrysler vehicles come with the following plans: 1-year of SiriusXM Satellite Radio Service, 5-years of SiriusXM Traffic, and 5-years of Travel Link Service.
Mopar and Chrysler Packages
Here is where Chrysler vehicles get a little more style. The following packages are offered by Mopar through Chrysler, and are only available on select trims of the Chrysler 200 at this time. Here are their options:
Exterior Body Kit by Mopar includes a Front Chin Spoiler, Rear Air Diffuser, and Side Sills, and deletes the Fascia Applique, or the lower front end of the car typically below the grille. It’s unclear why one would want to delete this. The first three components are also available separately.
The Interior package offered includes All-Weather Floor Mats, a Cargo Tray, and Stainless Door sill guards. Stainless door sill guards are also available separately.
All Chrysler Brands are also under Mopar Vehicle Protection. Two plans are available that cover a lot of the mechanical components past their original warranty duration. The two plans are Maximum Care, covering 5000+ components, and Added Care Plus, covering 800+ components. Both come with a $100 deductible, first day rental allowance, car rental allowance, $100 towing allowance/roadside assistance, $600 key fob repair/replacement coverage, $1000 trip interruption protection, and the ability to transfer the remaining Mopar coverage to a new owner at the time of vehicle sale.
