Chrysler 300 Offers Two Thrilling Engine Options

July 31st, 2013 by

When it comes to automotive style, the Chrysler 300
has the look that Hollywood, FL drivers crave. Designed with
sophisticated lines that create a delightfully poised stature, this vehicle routinely
turns heads. Of course, it’s more than simply a looker. In addition to alluring
elegance, the American automaker’s popular model is powerful.

To be specific, the baseline 2013 Chrysler 300 is
equipped with a vigorous 3.6-liter DOHC Pentastar V6, which is able to produce
an ample 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque to boot. Engineered with
variable valve timing technology, in addition to the generous, aforementioned power
statistics, this powerplant is quite efficient. The cardinal model earns an
EPA-estimated 31 miles per gallon on the highway and 19mpg tooling around the
city.

To that end, it’s exciting to note that the
combination of strong driving dynamics with liberal fuel-economy has led to
Chrysler’s Pentastar V6 earning a spot on Ward’s Auto’s coveted Top 10 Engines
list.

That’s impressive; but, happily, it’s only the
beginning. In addition to the award-winning V6 the American automaker also
offers drivers a heartier 5.7-liter HEMI V8. Matted in the 300C, 300C Luxury
Series and the 300S, this particular engine allows the new Chrysler
to exude a riveting 363 ponies and 394lb-ft of torque. As far as efficiency is
concerned, these models can attain 16mpg city/25mpg highway.
