Buyers yearning for the retro-cool and imposing presence of the Chrysler 300 sedan better act fast as they only have one week left to make their purchase. It was announced last year that Chrysler’s grand cruiser will bid farewell to the market for good after 2023. A company spokesperson has informed the public that Chrysler dealers must submit their final 300 orders by July 31 (2023).

The top-of-the-line 300C model saw overwhelming demand, with order books filling up within just 24 hours after its announcement last September. However, there’s still a chance to order other 300 models, with prices ranging from $34,995 to approximately $47,000 (plus destination fee). Enthusiasts shouldn’t miss this opportunity to own a piece of automotive history before it’s too late.

Unlike many current sedans, the 300 has always possessed an undeniable sense of presence. Its robust and substantial lines give it a demeanor reminiscent of a defensive lineman on a football field. While its design hints at a nostalgic “retro” vibe, it remains elusive, not easily tied to any specific era or past car model. Instead, it evokes images of an imagined history, drawing connections to zoot suits, art deco architecture, and a time when success meant confidently occupying ample space.

The 300 exudes an air of authority, and one of its most notable owners was Barack Obama, who eventually parted ways with it when he exchanged it for the presidential armored limousine. However, the 300 is built on the same platform as the Dodge Charger sedan and Challenger muscle car. All three models might find themselves out of sync in an electric-driven future. Consequently, the parent company, Stellantis, has decided to retire these vehicles. Fans of the Charger and Challenger are also confronted with the same end-of-July deadline to secure their purchases.

Chrysler’s Electric Future

The future of both brands is currently uncertain. Dodge revealed a concept called the “Charger Daytona SRT Concept,” branding it as an “electric muscle car” last summer (2022). However, this concept car remains just an idea, while the vehicles it was meant to replace are being phased out.

Similarly, Chrysler unveiled an electric concept named the “Airflow” in early 2022. Nevertheless, recent reports indicate that the company has abandoned both the design and the name in hopes of a bolder design. With the discontinuation of the 300 and no clear replacement in sight, Chrysler will offer buyers a limited lineup. The brand now only offers the Pacifica Minivan, its hybrid variant, and a basic Voyager minivan, which is exclusively sold to fleets.
