Chrysler Pacifica is Good Housekeeping’s 2019 Best New Car Recipient
We never tire of bringing the good news that the Chrysler Pacifica has done it again! Done what again is what readers may be wondering – the Chrysler Pacifica was just awarded yet another award. Good Housekeeping along with Car and Driver just named the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica the 2019 Best New Car award winner in the minivan segment. Prior to this award from Good Housekeeping and Car and Driver, the Pacifica Hybrid took home the 2018 Best New Car award in the Hybrid category.

Car and Driver worked together with the Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) as they screened hundreds of new vehicles in hopes of identifying the top makes and models for the 2019 model year. GHI experts traveled more than 5,000 miles on open roads and test tracks while determining and assessing the top features drivers value in their vehicles. Features such as safety, value, handling, comfort, interior cabin design, and onboard technology.
Engineers, analysts and consumers alive all evaluated several features – such as folding and stowing seats, storage and cargo space, and even the ease with which child safety seats are installed – to select the best vehicles. Hands-free liftgates, Bluetooth capabilities, advanced safety features including other features that improve and make the driving experience seamless were all eligible for bonus points.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is proud to be the original creator of the minivan 35 years ago and the automaker is dedicated to transforming the minivan generations. The automaker totaled an impressive 78 innovations throughout the first five minivan generations. FCA added 37 minivan firsts since the introduction of the Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid, totaling 115 innovations in the segment. A major feat for the automaker was the introduction of the industry’s first plug-in hybrid minivan, the Pacifica Hybrid.

Both models offer unprecedented levels of versatility, functionality, bold styling and technology to the minivan segment. Introducing an all-new platform, the Pacifica offers class-leading gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Additionally, the Pacifica Hybrid takes things to another level thanks to its more than 80 miles per gallon equivalent in electric-only mode. The Pacifica Hybrid boasts an all-electric range of more than 30 miles and a combined total range that surpasses the 500-mile mark. Thanks to its more than 100 available safety and security features, along with the Uconnect Theater entertainment system, comfort features, and advanced technologies, the Chrysler Pacifica is the most awarded minivan since 2016.
