Chrysler Pacifica Refresh is Pending an Electrification Push
Patience is key for those awaiting a Chrysler Pacifica refresh. In a recent media briefing, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell discussed the exciting Halcyon concept alongside upcoming plans for the Pacifica. Chrysler didn’t announce a specific date for the next-gen Pacifica, but Feuell mentioned there’s a mid-cycle update that’s planned in a couple of years. The refresh is expected to arrive alongside the 2026-2027 Pacifica models. Feuell also added that next-gen Pacifica will feature numerous enhancements and a new trim level.
In 2020, Chrysler unveiled a refreshed Pacifica at the Chicago Auto Show. This facelift included all-wheel drive, a feature not commonly offered by competitors. The Pacifica continues to stand out with its innovative features like the Stow ‘n Go seating and the built-in Stow ‘n Vac system. Safety remains a priority, as evidenced by the 2023 model earning the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) prestigious Top Safety Pick award.
“You’ll see some improvements in the interior, in the plug-in hybrid technology system, as well as a new trim level as well,” Feuell stated during the most recent media call.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica
The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica sees minor refinements. The top-of-the-line Pinnacle trim gets a new Sepia interior color option, while other trims can now be dressed up in bold Red Hot or sophisticated Baltic Gray exterior paint. The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica gets a safety boost with the addition of an Emergency Vehicle Alert System to its Uconnect infotainment system. This system warns drivers of approaching emergency vehicles and prompts them to yield, promoting safer roads for everyone. The gasoline-powered Chrysler Pacifica is equipped with a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Chrysler Pacifica boasts a best-in-class towing capacity of 3,600 pounds, making it a great choice for hauling gear for weekend adventures.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid lineup undergoes a simplification for 2024, offering just two well-equipped trims: Hybrid Select and Hybrid Pinnacle. Just like the gas-powered Pacifica, buyers can expect the Pacifica Hybrid to feature the same safety boost with the addition of the aforementioned Emergency Vehicle Alert System. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid prioritizes efficiency with a combined output of 260 horsepower from its 3.6-liter V-6 engine and two electric motors. This powerful hybrid system is backed by a long-range 16.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering both performance and eco-friendly driving. To maximize efficiency, the Pacifica Hybrid is not recommended for towing. The Pacifica Hybrid goes the extra mile (literally!) with an impressive 33-mile electric range, according to the EPA. Plus, it boasts an exceptional combined rating of 84 MPGe, making it a fuel-efficient champion.
Warranty
The Chrysler Pacifica offers peace of mind with a comprehensive warranty package. Buyers are covered for three years or 36,000 miles with a limited warranty that protects against various factory defects. The powertrain warranty extends that coverage to five years or 60,000 miles, ensuring the engine and transmission are well-protected. Owning a Pacifica Hybrid brings even greater assurance, with a dedicated warranty covering hybrid components for a full 10 years or 100,000 miles–whichever comes first.
