Details Released Regarding New Town & Country
The Chrysler Group is going to be shuffling their minivan lineup significantly over the next few years, with a familiar face likely leaving in the Caravan and a new next-gen van replacing it.
Here at Hollywood Chrysler Jeep our classic minivan will remain, but it has been reported changes will be made in regards to a new design and features.
The next Chrysler Town & Country will feature the brands new nine-speed automatic transmission, one that was first used in our 2014 Jeep Cherokee and will be incorporated in the 2015 200 sedan.
In addition, the Town & Country will have an optional all-wheel drive package, something that the next-gen Chrysler 200 will also feature. Besides these two new systems our minivan will also see the latest version of the Uconnect infotainment system and some improved Stow ‘N Go seating.
According to the head of design for Chrysler, Ralph Gilles, the Town & Country will keep with the tradition of what it has always stood for. He went on to say that our brand is looking to “Push the envelope and not disturb what’s good about the minivan.”1
The new design for the next Town & Country is said to be nearly complete, and rumors have stated that it could borrow some style from the 700C concept that we saw in 2012. This minivan concept appeared in the Motor City with some unique looks, and it could see some afterlife in the new model from Chrysler.
The next-gen Town & Country will join the new Chrysler inventory here in Hollywood, Florida as a 2016 model. We look forward to this day, so make sure you keep in the loop here on our blog as more information hits our eyes and ears.
