Final Chrysler 300C Rolls Off the Assembly Line
Marking the conclusion of an iconic era, the final production of the Chrysler 300C, a HEMI-powered legend, took place at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario. Brampton team members came together to commemorate this significant moment, bidding farewell to the last of the Chrysler 300C vehicles, a Velvet Red 2023 model.
Production of the 2023 Chrysler 300 concluded on December 31, 2023. The 6.4L HEMI-powered 2023 Chrysler 300C, initially introduced at the 2022 North American International Auto Show, serves as a homage to the nearly 70-year legacy of the Chrysler 300. It also pays tribute to the Chrysler 300C’s pivotal role as one of the iconic muscle cars in the 300 lineup. The exclusive 2023 Chrysler 300C garnered remarkable attention, with reservations for this special edition fulfilled within just 12 hours after the 2022 vehicle reveal. The production is limited to only 2,000 units in the U.S. and 200 units in Canada.
Having made its debut in 1955 and experiencing a renaissance in 2005, the Chrysler 300 stands as a symbol of timeless American luxury and performance. A significant milestone in the 300 line occurred in 1957 with the introduction of the Chrysler 300C, featuring a groundbreaking 392-cubic-inch, 375-horsepower HEMI engine as standard equipment.
The resurgence of the Chrysler 300 in 2005 marked the return of the 300C model and, notably, the revival of the HEMI engine within the Chrysler brand, a comeback after 50 years. The 5.7-liter, 340 horsepower HEMI engine became a defining feature of this reimagined classic. In 2011, the Chrysler 300C elevated its output to 363 horsepower.
Fast forward to the present, the 2023 Chrysler 300C makes a triumphant return to the 300 lineup after a two-year hiatus, paying homage to its powerful heritage. It proudly boasts an impressive 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds. Achieving a quarter-mile mark of 12.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 160 mph, the 2023 Chrysler 300C embodies the spirit of its illustrious predecessors while embracing modern performance standards.
