Here’s How the Jeep Gladiator Will Face the Competition in 2022

December 19th, 2021 by

Engineered from the ground up as the most capable mid-size pickup ever, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator is back with a vengeance. Consumers can count on Jeep’s expertise with more than 80 years under the hood, as the Gladiator boasts a rich heritage of rugged, tough, and dependable charm. The Gladiator’s rugged good looks are paired with some of the best modern technology features, including the brand’s Uconnect infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities. Additional modern features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path Detection among other features.

New for 2022:

Consumers can expect Uconnect 4C with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, along with navigation and nine Alpine speakers as standard features on the Overland, Rubicon, and Mojave trims. Remote Proximity Keyless Entry is now standard on those same three trims as well. Buyers interested in the entry-level Sport trim will be happy to learn that Jeep replaced the old UConnect 3 with a 5-inch display with a new Uconnect 4 infotainment system complemented by a 7-inch display. Jeep also added a new air filtration system that contains up to 95 percent of particulates across its entire lineup.

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave stands out among its competitors thanks to the fact that it is the ultimate when it comes to high-speed off-road capability and performance. Consumers can expect FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with reservoirs, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and industry-first FOX front hydraulic jounce bumpers that maximize handling from the brand’s first Desert Rated Gladiator Mojave. Lightweight, high-strength aluminum components, including the doors, hinges, hood, fenders, and even the windshield frame, help reduce the gross weight of all Gladiator pickups regardless of trim, boosting overall fuel economy.

Other highlights of the 2022 Jeep Gladiator include the availability of the TrailCam feature, a forward-facing off-road camera that’s accessible via the vehicle’s Off-road Pages through the 8.4-inch touchscreen display. There’s also a full-time two-speed transfer case across the Gladiator lineup that is more than intuitive and allows the driver to set it and forget it all while sending power to the front and rear wheels at once. The Selec-Trac transfer case with full-time four-wheel drive is available on the Sport, Overland, and Mojave trims, while the Rock-Trac full-time transfer case is exclusive to the Rubicon trim.

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is available in five different trims: Sport, Sport S, Overland, Mojave, and Rubicon. Buyers can choose their preferred Jeep Gladiator with the following colors: Bright White, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Black, Firecracker Red, Sting Gray, Hydro Blue, Sarge Green, and Snazzberry. Interior upholstery combinations can be had in Black, Heritage Tan, and Steel Gray.
