Introducing the All-New 2017 Jeep Compass
Coming in early 2017 is the all-new 2017 Jeep Compass and consumers are excited. The new Compass debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2016 and it had a modern look and sophisticated interior features. The Compass will remain a compact SUV and a new Compass Trailhawk will join Jeep’s growing pack of Trailhawks.
All Compass models will come standard with a 2.4-liter Tigershark I4 engine that has an excellent highway fuel economy of 30 mpg. The engine comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, however buyers have the choice of a 6-speed automatic transmission for 4×2 models or a 9-speed automatic transmission on 4×4 models.
New rectangular LED tail lights are a nice new design element and the addition of a power liftgate is a great new convenience feature. Buyers who want the Compass to feel spacious and like open views when off-roading will want to opt for the available large dual-pane sunroof.
The Compass will remain a comfortable five-passenger compact SUV. It will be available with a 5-, 7- or 8.4-inch touch screen and four UConnect systems and three of the Uconnect systems are equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features.
Consumers will be happy to learn about all of the standard and available safety features. Built for those who like to explore, the Compass is built from 65 percent high-strength steel. Buyers that want the latest in preventative safety technology can opt for a few different features like Forward Collision Warning-Plus, LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection.
Like the other Trailhawk models available on the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Renegade lineups, the Compass Trailhawk will be the fiercest Compass trim. Equipped with the signature red tow hooks, a 4×4 drivetrain, off-road tires and many other special features, the Compass Trailhawk is Trail Rated and eager to explore.
