Introducing the Jeep Gladiator Altitude

July 8th, 2020 by

There’s a new trim of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, the Gladiator Altitude trim, as announced by the automaker. Jeep announced that the Jeep Gladiator Altitude brings a new trim with a distinct appearance, Jeep’s 4×4 capability, and a new level of personalized content as well. Gladiator Altitude vehicles will be available in Jeep showrooms during the third quarter (fall 2020).

“Our Jeep Gladiator Altitude model is a direct response to customers who ask for a ‘blacked-out’ look directly from the factory. The Jeep Altitude models continue to resonate with customers and adding Gladiator completes this lineup. We are thrilled that the popular Altitude model joins the Gladiator lineup and is another way for Jeep to connect with customers,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Jeep Brand — FCA North America.

The Jeep Gladiator Altitude is based on the Sport S trim and it features a body-color grille with Dark Gray headlamp rings, black Jeep and Trail Rated badges, 18-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels clad in Dueler All-Terrain tires, and body-color fender flares. A black Freedom hardtop is the standard, but buyers of the Jeep Gladiator Altitude can opt for the available dual top as well. Inside, the Gladiator Altitude comes with standard black cloth seats, Wizard Black instrument panel mid-bolster and bezels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with black stitching.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator, designed to be the most off-road capable Jeep pickup, is built with Jeep’s iconic heritage in mind, making a tough and dependable truck with unmatched rugged utility, open-air freedom, functionality, versatility, and authentic Jeep design. Under the hood, the 2020 Gladiator is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Those with an active lifestyle can count on the Gladiator to handle the demands of varied terrain all while delivering an open-air driving experience in an unmistakable Jeep vehicle. The Gladiator is capable of taking passengers and cargo anywhere, making it a bonafide option when going off the grid.

All Gladiator vehicles, regardless of trim, come standard with a Trail Rated badge that indicates the vehicle is designed and engineered to perform on various challenging off-road conditions. The five key off-road performance categories are: water fording, articulation, ground clearance, maneuverability and traction. The Gladiator Altitude is available in Black, White, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Gobi, Gator, Sting Gray, and Billet Silver. Additionally, Jeep announced that the Gladiator Altitude has a starting MSRP of $40,340 (plus $1,495 destination fee).
