J.D. Power Highlights the Wagoneer as Top Residual Value Among Large SUVs for Second Consecutive Year
For the second consecutive year, the Wagoneer, known for its power and distinctive style, is anticipated to maintain the highest resale value among large SUVs, as per the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards. Adding to this achievement, two other vehicles from the Stellantis lineup, namely the Jeep Wrangler and Ram ProMaster, are also expected to outperform their direct competitors in retaining their resale value. The esteemed annual awards serve as the benchmark in the automotive industry for predicting the vehicle models that will retain the highest percentage of their manufacturer’s suggested retail price over a three-year ownership period.

Wagoneer consistently delivers that most fundamental requirement of a sales transaction – lasting value for the customer. 2024 Wagoneer
For the 2024 model year, Wagoneer broadens the availability of the acclaimed Hurricane I-6 family by making the 420-horsepower engine standard across all trims. With its peak torque of 468 lb.-ft, this engine is the key factor behind Wagoneer’s best-in-class tow rating of 10,000 pounds. In addition to its formidable power and prowess, the Wagoneer offers buyers comfortable accommodations, boasting best-in-class overall passenger volume (179.2 cu. ft./5.1 cu. m.), second-row legroom (42.7 cu. ft./1.08 cu. m.), and third-row legroom (36.6 cu. ft./0.93 cu. m.). The importance of value retention in determining the lease cost of a vehicle underscores the automaker’s success in long-term quality, design, and overall brand desirability, according to J.D. Power.
2024 Jeep Wrangler
In its annual residual value awards, the Jeep Wrangler has been recognized as the top performer among off-road utility vehicles this year. Revamped for the 2024 model year, the Wrangler offers larger tires, increased ground clearance, and enhanced traction. This model comes with additional amenities, refinements, and technology, featuring an exclusive Sky One-Touch power top, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, and a best-in-class 12.3-inch touchscreen radio equipped with Uconnect 5. Standard equipment includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Moreover, first- and second-row side-curtain airbags are now included as standard features.
“This year, we celebrated the delivery of our five-millionth Jeep Wrangler. You don’t resonate that well in the marketplace without understanding the value equation,” Kommor added.
Significantly, the residual value award for the Wrangler encompasses 4xe models. The Jeep Wrangler has maintained its status as America’s best-selling plug-in hybrid since the second quarter of 2021.
