Jeep and LEGO Technic Team Up for the First Time
Jeep and toymaker LEGO have teamed up for the first time for a one-of-a-kind Jeep Wrangler Rubicon LEGO toy. Designed to mimic the design, iconic look, and legendary off-road chops of the Jeep Wrangler, the first-ever LEGO Jeep Wrangler SUV is ready to face any epic adventure — real or imagined!
LEGO fans of all ages can enjoy the thrilling experience of assembling the latest LEGO Technic design with rugged tires, high-performance 4×4 systems, fold-down rear seats, and even an iconic seven-slot grille in LEGO Technic form. The kit from Jeep and LEGO Technic includes 665 pieces, a yellow and black color scheme, a button-operated front steering system, and powerful axle-articulation. Just like the real Jeep Wrangler, this build can conquer obstacles just about anywhere. The LEGO Technic Jeep Wrangler was designed for ages 9 and above, is slated to be available January 1, 2021, and retails at $49.99.
“The Jeep Wrangler is an icon in the off-road world. The Rubicon has a lot og the iconic details loved by 4×4 fans the world over, so it was important to me to pack as many of the authentic, powerful features of the real vehicle into the LEGO Technic replica. I hope LEGO fans and vehicle lovers enjoy all aspects, including the suspension, winch and open-air design that we developed alongside the talented Jeep design team,” said Lars Thygesen, Designer, LEGO Technic.
The LEGO Group was founded in Denmark in 1932 and remains a family-owned company to this day, with its headquarters in Billund. Its products are now sold in more than 130 countries across the globe as the toy maker’s mission is to inspire and help develop the builders and architects of tomorrow through the power of play. Children and Lego fans are free to build and rebuild anything they can imagine with the power of Lego, and the Lego Technic Jeep Wrangler kit is no exception.
“With an 80-year legacy that reaches around the world, our owners, fans, and followers have quite literally grown up with us. Our partnership with the LEGO Group gives our enthusiasts another inclusive opportunity to share the passion they have for the Jeep Wrangler, a global automotive icon that represents fun, freedom, and unbridled adventure,” said Christian Meunier, Global President of the Jeep Brand.
