Jeep Brand Earns Recognition at 2023 Texas Truck Rodeo

Ram and Jeep vehicles achieved the highest distinctions at the 2023 Texas Truck Rodeo, organized by the Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA). Together, these brands received more accolades than any other manufacturer at the event. After a comprehensive day of testing vehicles both on and off the road, involving 218 test drives along the designated route, TAWA members voted. The evaluations encompass a wide range of criteria, including exterior and interior design, off-road capabilities, overall utility, value, and performance of the participating vehicles.
“Ram trucks brought their A-game again this year, winning several consecutive awards, including the Full-size Pickup Truck of Texas, and scoring the highest for overall personal appeal, which is significant because Texas is the truck capital of the US. We also enjoyed the lineup from the Jeep brand, with several vehicles that were the stars of their categories offering incredible performance, craftsmanship and capability,” said Teia Collier, TAWA president.
Overall, Jeep took home an impressive four awards, including:
- Mid-Size SUV: 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
- Off-Road SUV: 2024 Jeep Wrangler
- Best Performance: 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392
- Best Feature Award: Stellantis Uconnect 5 Nav System

Today, the lineup includes the three-row Grand Cherokee L, standard Grand Cherokee, and the electrified Grand Cherokee 4xe, offering impressive efficiency and range. This fifth-generation model builds on its legacy with a new architecture, plug-in hybrid powertrain, refreshed design, and advanced technology, maintaining its iconic status in the premium SUV segment.
2024 Jeep Wrangler
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler, renowned for its off-road prowess, enhances its capabilities, technology, and safety while staying true to its iconic formula of adventure and freedom. Uconnect’s capabilities now extend beyond the vehicle, with Uconnect 5 offering enhanced connectivity, content, and personalization. This scalable architecture is ready to integrate advanced technology across all brands, and its Android operating system provides access to a wide range of applications to meet the growing demand for an improved user experience. Uconnect 5 empowers users to craft a customized home screen that offers a familiar interface. Similar to arranging icons on a mobile device or computer, customers can tailor their Uconnect home screen with frequently used features for quick, one-touch access.
Uconnect 5 introduces a card-based format that simplifies display screens, allowing users to personalize and group information based on individual preferences, resulting in a cleaner and more appealing appearance.
