Jeep Patriot: Off Roading Excursion

July 27th, 2017 by

The 2017 Jeep Patriot continues the long tradition of being the best-priced, one of the most fuel efficient SUVs in the country, along with having some of the best off-roading capabilities. So, how does Jeep manage to pull this off? And how exactly does it handle any and all road conditions flawlessly? Let’s take a closer look and find out.

The Jeep Patriot is known for its ability to handle any and all road conditions, including those where a road is nowhere in sight. Thanks to the three drivetrain configurations, off-roaders can handle anything mother nature throws at them. The first one is the standard front-wheel drive. Now this is where things get really exciting – The other two are the Freedom Drive I 4×4 and the Trail Rated Freedom Drive II 4×4

The Freedom Drive I 4×4  is a full-time available active four-wheel drive system with brake traction control which is designed to give drivers the ability to handle rough weather and low-traction conditions. Also included in this package are strong 4×4 capabilities, all-terrain tires, all-season floor mats and tow hooks for the best protection against any type of weather condition.

For the next best thing, The Jeep Patriot offers the Freedom Drive II Off-Road System. It has an available four-wheel drive system that includes the second generation continuously-variable transaxle with low ratio transmission which engages when off-road mode is activated.

The 2017 Jeep Patriot also comes in four different trim levels: High Altitude, Latitude, Sport and Sport SE.
