Jeep’s Concept Cars at Easter Jeep Safari

March 18th, 2016 by

In addition to celebrating Jeep’s 75th Anniversary as a brand, 2016 also marks the 50th anniversary for the annual Easter Jeep Safari. To celebrate both events, Jeep is going to display some wild concept cars, like a Jeep Hellcat, at Easter Jeep Safari held from March 19-27 in Moab, Utah. Here are three of the special concepts that will be present.

Jeep Wrangler Trailcat

Following up on Jeep’s January announcement at the North American International Auto Show of a Jeep equipped with a Hellcat engine, Jeep will have a Jeep Wrangler Trailcat on display. Using the 707-horsepower V8 Hellcat engine, the special Wrangler will sit on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 39.5-inch BF Goodrich Krawler tires. The SUV will also be equipped with Dodge Viper bucket seats to help keep passengers in their seats while off-roading in the red deserts of Utah.

Jeep Comanche

This concept car is the combination of a Jeep Renegade and a Jeep Comanche into a mini-pickup truck. Equipped with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the miniature truck will be small enough to maneuver tight roads and turns and durable enough for steep and rocky terrain. Painted in “Beige Against the Machine,” the Jeep will feature a soft-top roof, winch package and 32-inch tires.

Jeep Crew Chief 715

Inspired by the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep’s military roots, the Jeep Crew Chief 715 sports a front grille unlike any of the other Jeep models and is equipped with parts that make it great for off-roading. Combining the practicality of seating five passengers in the car’s exterior and a truck bed, the Crew Chief 715 would be an eye catcher on the roads if Jeep started mass producing the concept. The vehicle will have a 4-inch lift, 20-inch black rims and 40-inch NDT military tires.
