For the 2017 model year, Jeep has introduced two new Renegade models — the Renegade Altitude and the limited-edition Renegade Deserthawk. For those of you who don’t know much about the Jeep Renegade, it is a relatively new Jeep with production beginning in 2015. It is a compact SUV (CUV) that encompasses Jeep’s classic look but it has its own unique personality and these new models are great additions to the lineup.

2017 Jeep Renegade Altitude

The Renegade Altitude is permanently joining the Jeep lineup and it perhaps the most aggressive looking Renegade. This blacked-out Renegade is perfect for those who want style and off-roading capability.

The Renegade Altitude rides on 18-inch black gloss wheels, and there black accents all over the exterior including the rear badges, the grille, and taillamps. It is available in a variety of exterior colors, but we recommend black to go along with its all-black features.

The Renegade Latitude interior highlights include a blacked out look with premium cloth black seats, gloss black finishes and accents, and metal diamond accents on the shifter knob and door handles. A backup camera and keyless go are also standard features as well.

The upgraded 2.4-liter Tigershark I4 engine that is standard on the Renegade Trailhawk is standard on the Renegade Altitude. The engine comes paired with Jeep’s nine-speed automatic transmission. However, the model is also available with the 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine with a six-speed manual transmission, if that is more your style. Pricing for the 2017 Jeep Renegade Altitude begins at $22,390.

New Limited-Edition Jeep Renegade Deserthawk

Next up, the Renegade Deserthawk. This model is similar to the Renegade Trailhawk in that it is made for extreme off-roading, such as going on a wild ride through the desert. Available in exclusive exterior colors (Alpine White, Anvil, Black or Deserthawk-exclusive Mojave Sand exterior) and sporting a unique camo hood design, Jeep succeeded in making the Renegade Deserthawk look fierce.

The Renegade Deserthawk has 17-inch black painted wheels, exclusive body decals, rock rails and it is fitted with the trailer tow group. Designed for the most extreme conditions, this Jeep is Trail Rated. To help it withstand tough conditions it has skid plates, an 8.7-inch running ground clearance, tow hooks in the front and rear, hill descent control and up to 18 inches of water fording capabilities.

This model also comes with the capable 2.4-liter Tigershark I4 engine mentioned above and it is paired with the same nine-speed automatic transmission as well. A rear ParkView backup camera is standard on the 7-inch cluster information display screen. The pricing for this model is surprisingly affordable, beginning at just $28,140.
