New Details Leaked About the 2021 Jeep Gladiator
Internet sleuths are the gift that keeps on giving, and this time around they’ve got some news regarding the 2021 Jeep Gladiator — including a Willys and 80th Anniversary Edition trims. An unknown user on the Jeep Gladiator forum leaked an image from an alleged Jeep dealer bulletin. According to the leak, there’s a disclaimer that the new Sport-based trims — the Willys and 80th Anniversary Edition — are available for dealer orders. Included in the leak is a list of specific features of each trim, along with the respective MSRP and a detailed package discount.
The rumored Gladiator Willys appears to offer buyers body-color fenders, trim-specific decals, Rubicon cab rock rails, and a blacked-out grille surround. The pickup will ride on 17-inch wheels clad in mud-terrain tires, and it’ll also come with a limited-slip rear differential as well, according to this leak. Jeep is also planning to offer a better-equipped Gladiator Willys with the available Technology and Convenience packages.
On the other hand, the rumored Gladiator 80th Anniversary Edition appears to have unique badging, body-color fenders, neutral gray exterior accents and rides on 18-inch rims clad in all-terrain tires. On the inside, buyers can enjoy an 8.4-inch touchscreen display along with a premium audio system. Remote start is rumored to be standard, while passive hands-free entry remains an optional feature. Jeep has yet to announce any official pricing for either of these expected trims. The Gladiator Willys Sport will likely cost a little more than the base Sport trim, but experts don’t expect it to break the bank given the brand’s discounts. The 80th Anniversary Edition is more closely aligned with the top-tier trims and will likely rank between the Overland and Rubicon trims.
As is customary, Jeep does not comment on any ongoing production and did not respond to any requests for comment at the time of this writing. Experts are confident that the leak is real because the brand already implied that there’ll be 80th Anniversary Editions of every model in its lineup. Additionally, the Jeep Wrangler already offers a Willys trim, so it isn’t that far-fetched to think that a Wrangler-inspired Gladiator model could benefit from a Willys trim as well. 2021 marks 80 years since Willys-Overland first began to make vehicles for the U.S. military, paving the way for the iconic brand we see today.
