Not Your Ordinary Jeep Cherokee Trims

August 26th, 2016 by

The 2016 Cherokee is a sleek and adventurous SUV made by Jeep. There are currently six trim levels for the Cherokee, one of which is the special-edition 75th Anniversary Edition trim. Two of the other Cherokee trims are specifically made for off-roading and adventuring past the blacktop, the Cherokee Overland and Trailhawk trims.

2016 marks Jeep’s 75th anniversary! For this reason, Jeep created a special-edition 75th Anniversary Edition trim for every Jeep model. They are all very similar, but as the vehicles are different, each trim is slightly different. Some key features for the Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition include the badging, chrome accents, dual-pane sunroof, and standard 8.4-inch UConnect screen. This trim is available in six colors, but the special-edition color created by Jeep for this trim is Recon green. Jeep chose this color to represent the first Jeeps ever made, Jeeps for the military.

75th Anniversary Edition badging is on both the exterior and interior of the Cherokee and it is a surrounded in bronze accents. Speaking of bronze accents, the 75th anniversary Cherokee is covered in them inside and out. Besides the badges, wheels, roof rails, fascias are all accented in chrome. The interior has chrome accents as well. The CommandView Dual-Pane sunroof allows for an open feeling all the time, whether it is open or closed.

The Jeep Cherokee Overland trim is designed with the adventure seeking drivers specifically in mind. This trim has off-road features such as the available Jeep Active Drive II 4×4 system and unique design features like 18-inch 10-spoke wheels with ContiProContact TX tires that provide an incredible grip.

Other features unique to the Cherokee Overland the exterior color, UConnect premium audio system, and the interior seats. There are five colors available for this Jeep trim, but the cool part is, no matter what color you choose, it matches the color of the Jeep’s front and rear fascias, as well as the wheel flares, sill moldings, and door claddings. An 8.4-inch touch screen system with Uconnect 8.4 and navigation is standard, just like the beautiful leather interior is a huge selling point for the Cherokee Overland trim. The trim comes standard with black and pearl leather trimmed ventilated seats.

The Trailhawk trim is another Cherokee trim and it is dedicated to drivers interested in off-roading. The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is equipped with standard off-road features that earn it Trail Rated badge. A few of these off-road features are the Active Drive 4X4 system, skid plates, a locking rear differential, a lifted suspension (one-inch), Selec-Terrain Traction Control Management with modes for auto, snow, sand, mud, and rock modes for the off-road.

The Trailhawk is available in nine different colors, rides on 17-inch rims and all-terrain tires and it has a couple of other high-end features like the 75th Anniversary Edition and Overland. These other features include UConnect 8.4 with voice command technology, and Bluetooth connection for phone calls, texts and music.
