2017 Jeep Patriot Hollywood Chrysler Jeep

The Jeep brand is saying goodbye to the Patriot. As the least expensive compact SUV in the Jeep lineup, the Patriot offers buyers the rugged “Jeep look” without breaking the bank. Unfortunately, all things must come to an end, but there’s still time to purchase one before they’re completely sold out!

The 2017 Patriot is available in two trims, the Patriot Sport and Patriot Latitude, and both trims are available with front-wheel-drive (FWD) or four-wheel-drive (4WD). The Patriot Sport FWD models are equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 158 horsepower with 141 lb-ft of torque. The Patriot Latitude is available with a  2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft torque. The standard transmission for both engines and trims is a five-speed manual transmission, but buyers have the option of a six-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to the efficient engines, the Jeep Patriot has a fuel economy that averages 26 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg in the city.

In terms of safety, the Jeep Patriot scored four out of five stars in the overall government crash testing and a five-star rating in the side protection test. Additionally, the I.I.H.S. gave the Patriot a score of good, which is considered their highest rating, in moderate-overlap front-impact, side-impact and head restraint tests to prevent whiplash. According to Edmunds, while performing brake testing, the Patriot came to a stop from 60 mph in 121 feet, an average distance for this class. Some additional standard safety features include emergency brake assist, rear door child safety locks, tire pressure monitoring and 4-wheel ABS brakes.

The Jeep Patriot’s interior and entertainment features have had a few minor changes over the years, but if the buyer’s are going for the “less is more” type of look, the Patriot is right up their alley. The Patriot has simple, user-friendly controls that offer a practical yet attractive design to the model. Standard features include a four-speaker stereo, hands-free bluetooth capabilities, 6.5-inch Uconnect touch screen with navigation, 6-disc CD player, remote start and keyless entry. The Jeep Patriot offers 53.5 cubic feet overall.

Like previously mentioned, this is the end of the Jeep Patriot era but there’s still time to get your hands on one! With a starting MSRP of $18,040 (plus destination fee) there is no doubt that our available inventory is going fast.
