Stellantis Introduces Free2Move Charge, Smoothing Over EV Transition
Stellantis introduced Free2move Charge, an all-encompassing ecosystem designed to provide comprehensive charging and energy management solutions that cater to the diverse needs of electric vehicle (EV) owners. Thanks to the guidance of the newly formed Stellantis Charging & Energy Business Unit, Free2move Charge ensures seamless accessibility to charging facilities and efficient energy management for EV customers, whether they are at home, work, or on the move.

The e-ABC Promise
Introducing the e-ABC Promise (Always Be Charged), Free2move Charge takes charging convenience to the next level by incorporating intelligent features that understand users’ needs and optimize energy management. This enhances overall efficiency, reliability, and accessibility, while reducing the total cost of ownership and maximizing environmental benefits. In collaboration with the Free2move e-Genius team, customers can personalize their package, making it flexible and adaptable throughout their ownership journey. This ensures that their e-charging experience evolves and remains tailored to their specific needs. To kick things off, e-Genius support will first launch in European markets.
By overcoming obstacles such as charging anxiety,Free2move Charge plays a crucial role in fulfilling the objectives outlined in the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. These include achieving a 100 percent sales mix of passenger-car battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in Europe and a 50 percent sales mix of BEVs in passenger cars and light-duty trucks in the U.S. by 2030.
Utilizing the Stellantis Energy Cloud, Free2move Charge will seamlessly integrate with vehicle-branded mobile apps and the cutting-edge STLA SmartCockpit platform, scheduled for launch in 2024. This integration enables the delivery of fast and intelligent routes, along with charging recommendations tailored to each customer’s actual and specific needs. Through a comprehensive onboarding process, Free2move Charge will guide Stellantis customers, gaining insights into their individual needs and allowing for deep personalization. By leveraging AI learning, it continuously enhances its understanding of the most convenient charging experience for each and every customer.
