The 2022 Jeep Compass Gets a Makeover and Goes Luxe

December 8th, 2021 by

Often criticized for its use of harsh plastics and minimal use of soft-touch surfaces, the Jeep Compass is ready to turn a new leaf. Jeep not only rectified these criticisms, the automaker went above and beyond when crafting the 2022 Jeep Compass. These days, the Jeep Compass sports its makeover and flaunts a luxe appearance – both inside and out.

The last time the Jeep Compass model had any revamp was back in 2017 when the model was rebooted at the launch of its second generation. In the US, the Jeep Compass slots between the entry-level Renegade and the classic Cherokee models. However, across the globe, the Compass model has less competition within the Jeep lineup and it remains an important model when it comes to growing Jeep’s global market.

For the 2022 model year, the Jeep compass features a cohesive layout in its cabin that treats passengers to an interior that resembles the redesigned Grand Cherokee. These days the outboard air vents are discreetly integrated across the dashboard trim, while the switchgear for the HVAC system lands higher and appears appropriately organized. There’s even a padded piece with stitching and a metallic shelf structure that lies underneath to complete the luxe vibe.  Additionally, the door panels have better materials available, along with an improved design. Even the center console sees an improvement thanks to defined edges and better storage.

Like all the other new-and-improved models in the Jeep lineup, the 2022 Compass comes equipped with the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Buyers can enjoy a faster processor and a revamped interface that avoids goofy graphics. Jeep made the 2022 Compass with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, while touchscreen displays range from 8.4 inches to 10.3 inches. In addition, Jeep also expanded trims and special packages to take the model to new heights. There’s a High Altitude package that includes 19-inch wheels, enhanced lighting elements, a dual-pane sunroof, a nine-speaker Alpine sound system, black leather upholstery, and body-color lower moldings.

Those interested in the 2022 Jeep Compass also have access to available advanced driver-assist systems such as Highway Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist. Standard on Limited is Adaptive Cruise Control, with the available ParkSense front and rear park assist system and 360-degree surround view camera.
