The 2023 Jeep Cherokee returns with its premium, authentic design. Jeep made several changes to the lineup, including reducing the model’s trims to just two–Altitude LUX and Trailhawk, and adding a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine. Fuel efficiency on the 2023 Jeep Cherokee improves for the model year, while performance is enhanced thanks to the addition of the inline four-cylinder engine. On the inside, the Jeep Cherokee offers buyers plenty of space, comfort, and convenience options. Everyday practicality is baked into the design of the vehicle for buyers in need of a reliable commuter, but the Jeep Cherokee shines even more off-road when challenged by rugged terrain and more.

New for 2023

As one of the remaining trims on the 2023 Cherokee lineup, the Altitude LUX trim features rugged off-road styling cues buyers have come to expect from Jeep, including LED lighting, 17-inch Gloss Black painted aluminum wheels, Black grille surrounds, Black accents, Black badging, and more. Additionally, the 2023 Jeep Cherokee Altitude LUX includes Nappa leather seats, a 7-inch multi-view, full-color thin-film transistor, Piano Black interior accents, and a heated steering wheel and seats. Buyers can upgrade to 18-inch Gloss Black wheels as well.

Jeep also expanded its palette of available advanced safety features with the inclusion of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist and ParkSense Front/Rear Park Assist with Rear Stop. Additional standard equipment on the 2023 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk includes automatic high-beam headlamps, a security alarm, a universal garage door opener, and an auto-dim rearview mirror. Buyers enjoy standard Uconnect 4C NAV on an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with complimentary SiriusXM Radio.

2023 Jeep Cherokee Highlights

Jeep offers buyers plenty of 4×4 capability courtesy of its two four-wheel drive systems, including the Jeep Selec-Terrain traction control system that allows drivers to switch between five driving modes. Suited for any weather conditions, drivers can toggle between Auto, Snow, Sport, and Sand/Mud, while the Rock mode is exclusive to the Trailhawk trim. The 2023 Jeep Cherokee shines with its refined front fascia, including changes to the hood, premium LED headlamps, fog lamps, and daytime running lamps. The model’s signature waterfall grille is enhanced thanks to its lightweight aluminum construction and more closely aligns with Jeep’s latest design choices across the entire lineup.

Buyers will find a lightweight composite design on the Cherokee’s rear, including a convenient hands-free power liftgate. The latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system rounds out the model’s perks with its easy-to-use setup and enhanced and responsive processing power. High-resolution graphics, Apple CarPlay, and Google Android Auto capabilities are all standard. Upgraded amenities, such as navigation, Jeep Skill for Amazon Alexa, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, are also available on the 2023 Jeep Cherokee. Although Jeep reduced the Cherokee to two trims, the brand did not shy away from an ample color palette, including the following shades: Billet Silver, Bright White, Diamond Black Crystal, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Slate Blue, Sting-Gray, and Velvet red. All interiors, regardless of trim, come in standard black.
